Mind and Wellness therapy was birthed through seeing a lack of black clinicians in the modern therapy space. Mind and Wellness Therapy’s main focus is to provide culturally competent mental health care that meets people of color where they are. My name is Giitou Neor and I am a licensed clinician in New York.
About Me
I have experience in working with Couples, children, families and individuals. I also have experience in holding group therapy sessions to assist those process emotions and life events in the group space. I have therapeutic focus in utilizing the TFCBT, Seeking Safety, CBT and DBT modalities to assist one in managing symptoms related to anxiety, depression, PTSD, addiction and trauma. I work to assist clients in learning skills that may be applicable to times of intense stress or high emotion where they can feel more equipped in their daily life. My main goal is to ensure that you are able to work through the many life stressors that can create distress and assist you to moving towards a life worth living. Fees & Insurance45-60 Minute Sessions: $150 (individual) $150 (Couples) $150 (Famalies)Payment: Visa/ Mastercard acceptedCancellation: Clients must notify clinician 24 hours in advance of session cancellation to avoid being charged the full session cost.Insurance: Giitou Neor is currently working within a group practice (resilience lab). Resilience Lab is currently paneled with United Health care, Oxford, Oscar, UMR, Americorps. If your insurance plan reimburses for out of network behavioral health or mental health services your sessions may be partially covered.For out of network clients, you must pay in full for your session and through our database we can assist you with filing your reimbursement claim with your insurance provider. Your reimbursement is then mailed to your residence.
